Tim Burton and "Beetlejuice 2

The second portion of “Beetlejuice,” about a ghost who falls for Lydia, is released 36 years later. Jenna Ortega plays Lydia’s daughter in this sequel. Javier Merino summarizes the press briefing.

It was August 2024 when Tim Burton and Beetlejuice’s cast Beetlejuice promoted the expected sequel in Mexico. The return of Beetlejuice was eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide. The promotional tour featured a press conference in Mexico City where Burton and the cast discussed the film’s production and their experiences.

Michael Keaton was excited and nervous to play Beetlejuice again after 36 years. Keaton, who played Batman and Birdman, called the sequel a “true artistic controlled experiment” where Burton welcomed cast and crew creativity.

The Beetlejuice cast Beetlejuice stars new and returning actors. Delia and Lydia Deetz, played by Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder, return with Keaton. Astrid, Lydia’s daughter, is played by Jenna Ortega, while Willem Dafoe plays a ghost detective and former B movie action star.

Beetlejuice promotion The Fanta-WB cooperation took Beetlejuice beyond Mexico. Fans got a taste of the hereafter with a limited-edition Beetlejuice flavor and special packaging showcasing the film’s characters.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Fever created BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE: The Afterlife Experience, an immersive Los Angeles event, to engage fans. Visitors entered Beetlejuice’s universe in this 11,000-square-foot experience with reproduced sets, live entertainment, photo opportunities, and themed food and drink.

Beetlejuice raised anticipation. Beetlejuice returned to the red carpet at the 81st Venice Film Festival as the opening film. The film’s international debut at the Sala Grande on August 28, 2024, was praised by festival chief Alberto Barbera for its visionary talent and creative imagination.

Beetlejuice promotions Beetlejuice’s Mexican debut, global marketing, and Venice Film Festival premiere highlighted its cinematic significance. The sequel honored the original while bringing a new generation to Beetlejuice’s odd universe.

Batman is one of the most lucrative superhero IPs. The character has appeared in countless comics, movies, and TV shows and remains one of the generation’s most beloved superheroes.

Additionally, acclaimed director Kevin Smith has credited Batman, or at least one version of the character, with making superheroes more popular than ever. Smith praised Michael Keaton’s Batman in the 1989 Tim Burton film, saying it raised the bar for comic-book fans and moviegoers.

As a Tim Burton collaborator, Jenna Ortega has experienced surreality. Leading the Netflix series “Wednesday,” Ortega learned Burton’s unique storytelling style and the fantastic worlds he creates, but she was severely tested on the set of his next film, the impending legacy sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” Ortega recently told Fandango that a Burton set, like this one, which had so much history, frequently fosters a sense of community and that her first sight of Michael Keaton in hair and makeup as Beetlejuice set the tone for the production.

In 2011, Seth Grahame-Smith was engaged to write and produce a sequel. Rewriter Mike Vukadinovich was hired.
